2 Singaporean engineers who played Monopoly in real life
We're Han and Tracy from Singapore. No shiny suits, no Lamborghini selfies. We built a portfolio of 28 US properties right here from Singapore, 100% remotely, and the rental income allowed us to leave our jobs in our 30s. Instead of Michelin restaurants and upscale bars, you're more likely to find us outdoors enjoying nature.
Our story
The 9-to-6 life. Stable jobs, decent pay, a steadily shrinking amount of soul. From 2017, we spent nights and weekends studying US property investing. In 2020, we bought our first US rental, and it changed our lives.
By 2022, we had 9 properties and Han left his corporate job to invest full time. By 2023, we had 12, and Tracy left her job too.
No salaries, but plenty of momentum. Positive rental cashflow, experience, appreciation and leverage grew our portfolio from 12 to 28 properties, now bringing in over US$38k in gross rent a month.
Meet the founders
Han goes by evidence, not hearsay or vibes. He has over a decade of profitable stock investing behind him, and studied Physics at NUS, where he chose a solar energy capstone project. That love for the planet carries on at home: he and Tracy grow their own vegetables in a small high-rise garden, using compost from their own food waste.
Tracy follows the data, but she also reads the room and asks the questions a spreadsheet can't answer. She holds a Master's in Systems Engineering, yet her real passion is animals and nature, and she hopes to see better education on animal welfare. You'll also find her at the gym fuelled by plant-based protein shakes.
